Portsmouth, NH -- QA Cafe, a leading provider of IP protocol test suites, today announced the release of CDRouter MultiPort 2.5, which provides new support for testing multiple wireless and wired LAN interfaces on CPE routers. CDRouter MultiPort allows quality assurance (QA) managers, test engineers, and development staff to simultaneously test both wireless and wired LAN interfaces using a single CPE test solution.
“Many CPE devices today contain a built-in Ethernet switch with four or more ports. Many of these same devices also offer 802.11 wireless interfaces, “ stated Joe McEachern, product manager for QA Cafe. “Manufacturers are looking for a fast and reliable way to test these ports to help them meet time-to-market pressures. Our CDRouter-MultiPort solution allows you to run our entire suite of over 300 CPE router tests, either individually or all at once against all of the wired or wireless interfaces in a single test run. By allowing multiple wired and wireless LAN interfaces in one test setup, CDRouter-MultiPort can verify wireless to wired interoperability and speed up the testing of complex CPE devices.”
CDRouter-MultiPort supports up to 64 additional LAN interfaces which can be any combination of wired Ethernet or 802.11 wireless clients. Over 300 individual test cases are included with CDRouter-MultiPort along with support for over 40 protocols including PPPoE, PPPoA, PPTP, DHCP, IPSEC, 802.1x, WPA, RIP, NAT, UPnP, HTTP, DNS, FTP, ICMP, and RTSP.
